CVE-2026-16970Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account access via persistent server-side sessions

Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026

Insufficient session expiration in DFIR-IRIS iris-web 2.4.26 allows attackers with a stolen session cookie to retain account access. The logout endpoint expires the browser cookie and redirects to login but leaves the corresponding server-side session active, so the old cookie still authorizes protected requests. Exploitation requires prior possession of a valid session cookie and grants the account access associated with that session until it expires.
