Authenticated code execution via uncontrolled search path
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Uncontrolled search path handling in IBMi 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The affected lookup uses an uncontrolled search path element, but IBM has not disclosed the component, resource, or attacker-controlled location. Network authentication is required; the execution context and resulting privilege boundary remain undisclosed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
