Uncontrolled resource consumption in IBM AIX 7.2 and 7.3 and PowerVM VIOS 4.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. The affected component, resource, and request-processing error that permits consumption beyond safe limits have not been disclosed by IBM. Network access is sufficient, with no authentication or user interaction required; the documented consequence is service interruption only.
