Authenticated PowerShell execution via unescaped variable values
Published Jul 24, 2026 · Updated Jul 24, 2026
Code injection in Devolutions PowerShell Universal 2026.2.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PowerShell code. The variables feature writes crafted values into its PowerShell configuration file without proper escaping, causing the file to interpret them as code. Variable write permission is required, and successful injection grants arbitrary PowerShell execution with the server process's access.
