Sandbox command execution via unquoted package arguments

Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026

Command injection in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Python SDK before 1.18.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute sandbox commands. The install_packages() method accepts arbitrary characters inside package extras and concatenates unquoted package arguments into a pip install shell command. Reachability requires an authenticated user who can influence package arguments, and execution remains confined to the Code Interpreter sandbox.
