CVE-2026-16771

LAN configuration disclosure and modification via unauthenticated CGI

Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026

Missing authentication in ARRIS BGW210-700 firmware 2.7.7 and earlier allows remote attackers on the LAN to alter gateway settings. The wconfig_unified.ha and broadbandconfig.ha handlers process unauthenticated requests, exposing plaintext Wi-Fi keys and accepting persistent WAN changes because access-code enforcement exists only in client-side code. Access requires main or guest Wi-Fi or Ethernet reachability to the LAN interface; successful requests disclose network credentials, change WAN configuration, or launch diagnostic jobs.
