CVE-2026-16766Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote command execution via unquoted render options

Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026

OS command injection in Catalyst::View::Wkhtmltopdf before 0.6.1 allows remote attackers to execute commands via PDF render options. The render() routine builds one shell string and interpolates request-scoped page, orientation, dimension, and margin values without quoting before backticks invoke /bin/sh. Exploitation requires a consuming web application to place user-controlled values in the wk stash, and injected commands run as the web-server user.
