Unauthenticated booking disclosure and modification via unchecked identifier
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Authorization bypass in WP Travel Engine before 6.8.5 allows remote attackers to read and alter customer bookings via its cart action. The unauthenticated wte_add_trip_to_cart AJAX action trusts a caller-supplied booking_id and loads that record without authorization or ownership checks. Default activation exposes the checkout flow; a booking must exist, after which sequential identifiers reveal order and billing data and permit record overwrite.
