Unauthenticated SSRF and credential disclosure via redirects
Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026
SSRF in OPeNDAP Hyrax 1.18.0 allows remote attackers to reach blocked internal services through crafted gateway requests. The gateway validates only the initial URL against AllowedHosts, then follows HTTP 3xx redirects without rechecking the destination and forwards User-Id and Echo-Token headers. Unauthenticated requests can reach internal services; credential disclosure requires an authenticated user's request and exposes reusable legacy access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
