Unauthenticated log injection via exposed reusable nonce
Published Aug 8, 2026 · Updated Aug 8, 2026
Missing authorization in WP Chill Download Monitor before 5.2.6 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary download log entries. The download-logging AJAX action accepts attacker-supplied download and version identifiers after an unauthenticated visitor obtains its reusable nonce from the X-DLM-Nonce response header. An active plugin with at least one download and file version is required, and repeated requests falsify reports and cached download counts.
