Unauthenticated content disclosure via missing REST authorization
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Information disclosure in WP Chill Passster before 4.3.6 allows remote attackers to read category-locked posts through the WordPress REST API. The plugin omits its category-protection check when core REST post endpoints serialize a locked post, returning its title, excerpt, and full rendered content. No authentication or user interaction is required; the category-lock feature must be configured, and global protection must remain off.
