Editor-level SQL injection via Elementor widget settings
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
SQL injection in WP Directory Kit 1.5.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with Editor access to execute SQL via widget settings. The Elementor category and location widgets pass unsanitized, unescaped settings into a database statement when an affected page is rendered. Editor-level page-builder access and a subsequent render are required; injected statements execute with the WordPress database account's privileges.
