Subscriber-level analytics disclosure via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Aug 8, 2026 · Updated Aug 8, 2026
Missing authorization in VeronaLabs WP Statistics before 14.16.10 allows remote authenticated users to read visitor analytics via AJAX. The dashboard metabox AJAX handlers validate a WordPress REST nonce shared with every logged-in account but do not check the caller's capability. A Subscriber account and a default installation with recorded visits suffice to retrieve referrers, page views, timestamps, locations, and device details.
