Unauthenticated file upload via unchecked response endpoint
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Bit Assist before 1.8.2 allows remote attackers to store files through the public response endpoint. The endpoint accepts multipart uploads without checking type, extension, content, or size and writes them under a bare UUID. Persistence requires response storage or mail forwarding for the channel; impact is limited to disk consumption or inert content hosting, not code execution or stored XSS.
