Authenticated RSVP deletion via unchecked AJAX action
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Missing authorization in Wired Impact Volunteer Management before 2.8.2 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary volunteer RSVPs. The wivm_remove_rsvp AJAX action neither checks the caller's authorization nor verifies that the targeted RSVP belongs to that user. A Subscriber account can remove any user's registration from any volunteer opportunity, altering signup records without reading other data.
