Cross-organization stdout disclosure via unmapped websocket groups
Published Jul 22, 2026 · Updated Jul 22, 2026
Missing authorization in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform Controller allows remote authenticated users to read cross-organization job output. The websocket EventConsumer calls consumer_access() only for mapped groups, so inventory_update_events, project_update_events, and system_job_events bypass RBAC. Any valid account, without a specific role or organization membership, can subscribe with arbitrary object IDs and receive real-time stdout and event metadata from other organizations.
