CVE-2026-16503Network attack vector

Database takeover via exposed default superuser credentials

Published Jul 31, 2026 · Updated Jul 31, 2026

Default credentials in VPS.org Supabase Template allow remote attackers to gain PostgreSQL superuser access over TCP port 5432. The static deployment template publishes PostgreSQL on 0.0.0.0 and sets the postgres account password to postgres, while Docker's iptables rules bypass standard host UFW filtering. Exploitation requires network reachability to the published port and grants authority to read, modify, or delete database contents and alter schema, roles, and privileges.
