Cross-tenant tool execution via sessionless client cache
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Credential isolation failure in HashiCorp Terraform MCP Server 0.3.0 through 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to reuse another tenant's token. The stateless Streamable HTTP library supplies no unique session identifier, so the server's per-session Terraform client cache cannot separate request credentials and reuses the first cached client. Exploitation requires an explicitly configured stateless HTTP deployment; subsequent tool calls run with the earlier tenant's Terraform permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
