Local command execution via unescaped connection name
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
OS command injection in the JSforce CLI 3.10.0 through 3.10.16 allows local users to execute commands through a crafted connection name. The SFDX registry's _createCommand concatenates the -c value into a shell string, and _execCommand passes it to child_process.exec without escaping. Reachability requires SFDX registry mode and local CLI access; injected commands run as the invoking user without valid Salesforce credentials.
