Sandboxed code execution via V8 stack overflow
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Stack buffer overflow in V8 in Google Chrome before 150.0.7871.182 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox. Google identifies V8 as the affected component but has not disclosed the function, buffer, or unchecked operation that permits crafted HTML content to overwrite stack memory. Exploitation requires a user to load a crafted HTML page, and the reported code execution remains confined to Chrome's sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
