Omnibox content spoofing
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Insufficient input validation in Google Chrome Extensions before 150.0.7871.182 allows remote attackers to spoof the Omnibox via crafted HTML. The public CNA record identifies the Extensions component, but Google has not disclosed which HTML value is accepted or how it replaces the displayed URL. Reaching the flaw requires a user to open the crafted page; the false URL-bar content misrepresents the page's apparent origin without reported content modification or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
