Incorrect JavaScript execution via JIT miscompilation
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
JIT miscompilation in Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird before 153 allows remote attackers to cause incorrect execution through JavaScript. Mozilla has not published which JIT optimization is faulty or the incorrect operation it performs on attacker-controlled input. In Thunderbird, ordinary email reading disables scripting, so exploitation requires a browser or browser-like context that executes JavaScript.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
