Unauthenticated configuration changes via exposed web interface
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Missing authentication in Synectix LAN 232 TRIO all versions allows remote attackers to alter settings or reset the device. The web management interface accepts configuration changes and factory-reset requests without requiring any credentials. Network access to the appliance is sufficient; changing serial or IP settings can interrupt attached-device communications, while reset restores all settings to defaults.
