Subscriber-level license deletion via unchecked AJAX action
Published May 18, 2026 · Updated May 18, 2026
Missing authorization in Feeds for YouTube before 2.6.4 allows remote authenticated users to delete stored license data through WordPress AJAX. The actions function handles the sby_recheck_connection request without a capability check and deletes the sby_islicence_upgraded and sby_upgraded_info options. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the demonstrated consequence is loss of the plugin's saved license state, not broader site control.
