Internal service access via unvalidated chapters URL
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Server-side request forgery in Blubrry PowerPress before 11.17.1 allows remote authenticated users to reach internal services. The Podcast Episode Chapters URL setting accepts an attacker-controlled URL, and the plugin requests that destination without validation. Contributor-level access is sufficient; requests originate from the WordPress server and can read data or submit requests that alter reachable internal services.
