Membership-request disclosure via unchecked group lookup
Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026
Missing authorization in Metagauss ProfileGrid before 6.0.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read pending group request details. The pm_get_all_requests_from_group AJAX handler accepts an enumerable gid and returns requester names, user IDs, and request dates without checking that the caller manages the group. Subscriber-level access and at least one pending request suffice, including for closed groups; the exposure is limited to membership-request data.
