CVE-2026-16287

Root command execution via offline-upgrade inputs

Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026

OS command injection in Pardus Update 0.6.6 allows local users to execute commands with root privileges through offline updating. The privileged offline-upgrade path constructs shell commands from repository-list content and a dpkg configuration option without validating either input. Exploitation requires a low-privileged local account that can influence those inputs; successful injection provides root-level command execution.
