Authenticated denial of service via recursive AJAX dispatch
Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026
Denial of service in Flipper Code WP Maps before 4.9.7 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt WordPress sites via AJAX. The wpgmp_ajax_call handler accepts an attacker-named operation and can dispatch itself recursively until PHP exhausts its memory limit. A Subscriber account, a valid nonce exposed by a page rendering the map script, and repeated concurrent requests are required to saturate PHP workers and make the site unresponsive.
