Weak cryptography in SICK LMS1000 and MRS1000 firmware 2.4.0 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read SSH traffic. The devices’ SSH service offers weak CBC-based cipher suites, allowing intercepted encrypted traffic to expose portions of a user’s session. An SSH session and an attacker able to intercept or interact with its network traffic are required; the vendor reports confidentiality impact only.
