Local data modification via broad ProgramData permissions
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Incorrect default permissions in Bizerba BRAIN2 before 3.09 allow local users to modify protected data under Windows ProgramData. During setup, LogPathConfig.exe grants the Windows Everyone group full control over %ProgramData% rather than only %ProgramData%\Bizerba\BRAIN2. The condition requires LogPathConfig.exe to be present; the optional Bizerba ScriptService can rerun it and restore the overly broad access.
