Out-of-bounds read in Eclipse OMR before 0.11 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt dependent runtimes via zero-length comparisons. The IBM Z evaluator enters its SIMD loop when the byte count is zero and returns a mismatch; Power arraycmp and arraycmplen likewise fail to treat zero-length regions as equal. Exploitation requires low privileges, active user interaction, and affected IBM Z or Power generated code; the vendor reports availability impacts only.
