Authenticated arbitrary file write via incorrect configuration lookup
Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026
Path traversal in Croogo CMS 4.0.0 through 4.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to write files outside the editable root. FileManager::isEditable calls Configure::check for FileManager.editablePaths, receives a boolean instead of the configured roots, and passes it to _isWithinPath. A valid admin File Manager session, CSRF token, and web-server-writable destination are required; writes into PHP-executable web paths enable code execution.
