Cross-user dashboard read-write via unscoped module lookup
Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026
Authorization bypass in Geex Arts Django JET 1.0.0 through 1.0.8 allows remote authenticated users to read or modify other users' dashboard modules. The dashboard update view resolves a module solely by an attacker-controlled primary key and saves it without scoping the lookup to the current user. Staff access is required; changing the route key exposes cross-user module data and permits unauthorized edits.
