Toolkit denial of service via XML entity expansion
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
XML entity expansion in IBM App Connect Enterprise Toolkit allows remote authenticated users to crash it through crafted XML. The Toolkit fails to restrict recursive entity references in a DTD, allowing expansion to consume resources until service is interrupted. Exploitation requires authenticated access and user interaction; affected releases span App Connect Enterprise 12.x and 13.x and Integration Bus for z/OS 10.1.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
