Kernel panic via busy delayable-work reinitialization
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Denial of service in Zephyr RTOS 3.7.0 through 4.4.1 allows physically proximate attackers to trigger a kernel panic over USB. The it82xx2 driver reinitializes suspended_work during enable while its timeout or queue linkage can remain active, corrupting kernel lists. An unauthenticated USB host must keep suspend detection pending while forcing a disable-and-re-enable cycle; no data exposure or modification is demonstrated.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
