Browser script execution via unescaped checkout email
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Stored XSS in E4J Vik Rent Items 1.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts via a crafted checkout email. The saveorder() function stores the customer email after sanitize_text_field(), and the editorder template writes it into an input value without esc_attr(). Submitting a booking requires no authentication; the script executes when a user opens the affected order page, enabling browser-context data access or actions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
