CVE-2026-16133Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Code execution via untrusted project MCP configuration

Published Jul 18, 2026 · Updated Jul 18, 2026

Command injection in LiuMengxuan04 MiniCode 0.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute commands through a crafted project configuration. At startup, loadEffectiveSettings reads and merges a repository-local .mcp.json without a trust decision, and StdioMcpClient passes its command and arguments to child_process.spawn. A user must open the attacker-controlled project and launch MiniCode; the configured process then runs with that user's local privileges.
