Heap buffer overflow in xdgmime on little-endian Red Hat Enterprise Linux allows local users to corrupt memory via a malicious MIME magic file. In _xdg_mime_magic_parse_magic_line(), byte swapping advances the write pointer incorrectly and writes two bytes beyond the heap buffer. Exploitation requires a user to install the crafted file in a user-writable XDG MIME data path and an application to perform MIME type detection.
