Improper certificate validation in IBM TS4500 CLI tool 0.1.31 through 1.12.0.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read sensitive data. The client's SSL configuration fails to authenticate the library server certificate during TLS connection setup. Exploitation requires a network position between the CLI host and library, and the reported consequence is interception of confidential communications rather than data modification or service interruption.
