CVE-2026-16101Public exploit

BLE bond hijacking via unauthenticated security requests

Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026

Authentication bypass in Silicon Labs WiSeConnect SDK 2.0.0 through 2.13.x and 4.0.x allows physically proximate attackers to replace BLE bonds. The BLE central accepts an unauthenticated SMP Security Request carrying a crafted security level from a device spoofing a bonded peripheral, then overwrites the stored pairing key during re-pairing. Wireless range and spoofing of a trusted device identity are required; successful re-pairing gives the rogue device read and write access to protected BLE traffic without the existing pairing key.
