Cross-user session metadata disclosure via username override
Published Jul 18, 2026 · Updated Jul 18, 2026
Authorization bypass in AstrBot 4.25.0 through 4.25.5 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' WebChat session metadata. OpenApiRoute.get_chat_sessions ignores the API-key principal and passes the caller-controlled username to the database creator filter. A valid chat-scope API key and a known or guessable victim username expose session IDs, platform IDs, display names, creators, and timestamps.
