Stored XSS via unescaped focal-point attributes
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Stored XSS in Brizy - Page Builder before 2.8.19 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in a reviewing administrator's session. The focal-point AJAX handler stores pointX and pointY without sanitization or integer casting, and the Featured Image meta box echoes them unescaped into style and hidden-input attributes. Contributor access, an owned post with a featured image, and a higher-privileged user opening that post for review are required.
