Authenticated command execution via FileName shell interpolation
Published Jan 29, 2026 · Updated Jan 29, 2026
Command injection in TOTOLINK A7000R 4.1cu.4154 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via crafted FileName input. The setUploadUserData handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi inserts FileName into a command passed to system() without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Low-privileged access to the router's web interface is required, after which injected commands can read or alter device data or interrupt service.
