PCI configuration read and write via crafted IOCTLs
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Insufficient IOCTL access control in ASUS Armoury Crate 6.5.7 and earlier allows local users to read or write PCI configuration space. The Armoury Crate driver accepts crafted IOCTL requests that bypass its verification before accessing arbitrary PCI or PCIe configuration space. Low-privileged local access is required; successful requests expose or modify hardware configuration outside the caller's authorization.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
