CVE-2026-15991Network attack vector

Authenticated file read and deletion via command mismatch

Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026

Missing authorization in Bit Apps Bit File Manager 6.0 through 6.9 allows remote authenticated users to read and delete server files. elFinder selects permission handlers only from POST data, but its dispatcher accepts cmd=rm or cmf=file from merged query and POST data and executes it against an ABSPATH-backed volume. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; deleting wp-config.php can expose the site to reinstallation and subsequent remote code execution.
