Authenticated file deletion via unnormalized image path
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Path traversal in KeywordRush Content Egg 11.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The img_file value in cegg_data post metadata is only stripped of tags, stored unchanged, concatenated without normalization in getFullImgPath(), and passed to unlink(). Author-level WordPress access is required, and deletion of configuration or code files disrupts the site or alters its execution.
