Subscriber-level page-layout disabling via unchecked AJAX handler
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Missing authorization in Builderall for WordPress 3.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disable arbitrary post layouts. The wp_ajax_ba_cheetah_disable handler passes the user-controlled ba_cheetah_data post_id to disable(), which writes false to the target post's _ba_cheetah_enabled metadata without a capability or nonce check. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the write can disable the page-builder layout on posts owned by other users.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
