Administrator file read and write via path traversal
Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026
Path traversal in Go Web Smarty WP Encryption 7.8.6.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read and write server files. The premium admin handler in admin/le_admin.php uses the imploded parameter as a filesystem path without restricting it to an intended directory and writes supplied content after only HTML encoding. Administrator access and an active premium version are required; reads expose file contents, while writes can alter plaintext configuration, redirect traffic, or interrupt the site.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
