Sensitive content disclosure via unmasked span attributes
Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026
Sensitive data exposure in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Python SDK 1.4.8 and 1.5.0 allows local users to read agent content. On every invocation, its OpenTelemetry instrumentation writes raw user prompts and complete agent responses to span attributes without filtering or masking. Access requires an authenticated AWS principal with CloudWatch Logs read permission, and disclosure is limited to content exported to the customer's aws/spans log group.
