Stored XSS via unescaped heading_size shortcode attribute
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Stored XSS in GamiPress 7.9.9.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the heading_size shortcode attribute. The shortcode handler synthesizes dangerous heading HTML from the attribute at render time without sufficient sanitization or output escaping, so save-time wp_kses_post filtering sees only inert shortcode text. Contributor-level access is required, and the injected script executes in a visitor's browser whenever an affected page is viewed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
